Once upon a time ago there was basically one type of wedding and everyone had it. You got married in a church and you had a reception in the church hall or a local banquet hall. Almost everyone carried bouquets of roses, bridesmaids wore matching dresses and groomsmen wore tuxes. You had a white cake and your photographer took photos of your family and your wedding party. End scene. But NO MORE! Today your wedding can be personalized in a 1000 ways – from favors to decor, to bridesmaid wearing converse and groomsmen sporting suspends. The type of wedding styles to choose from are endless – here are just a few of the details from some of my favorites to give you some ideas!
Country Chic Weddings
So you’ve booked the ranch for your country chic wedding but what next? Add a s’mores bar. Find some his and hers corn hole boards to entertain guests. Throw some hay bales around for easy sitting areas. Buy those bridesmaids some cowboy boots. Serve sweet tea and lemonade and don’t forget those pretty paper straws in good old mason jars. Add a little burlap and a little lace, do some crafting! The possibilities are endless!
Are you and your fiance into hiking and camping and soaking up the sun? This might be the perfect time to share that love for the great outdoors with your friends and family. Here in Florida we have lots of options for outdoors – with a wide variety of parks and preserves you can truly marry the love of your life in your favorite place. Worried about the weather? No problem – lots of places offer indoor venues with great outdoor views. Or just bring a little outdoors in by adding details like wildflowers in your bouquet, fresh berries to your cake, even pine cones to your table decor!
Gorgeous pastels, white florals, yards of lace and tiny details add romantic flair to any wedding. While slightly more traditional this softer side of weddings is perfect for those spring and summer weddings!
Whether you are planning a destination wedding on a gorgeous Caribbean island or soaking up the beauty of Florida here at home tropical weddings are often colorful and funky. Help your guests stay cool with fans, serve them fruity drinks with colorful umbrellas, delight them with creative cake toppers and do it all with a little reggae playing in the background and you have yourself a tropical wedding!
Love those ideas but want a little less tropical and little more beach themed? Add a few shells and pastel colors and invite your loved ones to join you for a seaside ceremony.
Love the water but not the sand? Add a little nautical flavor!
Glitter & Gold
Your wedding day is probably the biggest party you will ever throw! If you like to shine this might be the style for you. Picking a venue can be important here – good venue options tend to be either very fancy on their own or very simple creating a blank canvas for you to add all the sparkle you want.
None of these feel like your style? Then go traditional. Stick with the roses, stick with the church, whatever you want to do works. If this is your favorite style go with it, if you love classic – go with it!
